Duties & Responsibilities: - Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with stakeholders to define business development goals, project scope, risks, success measures, and resource requirements. - Ensure Business Development Success: Ensure that business development projects are completed within scope, on budget, and within the scheduled timeframes, maintaining high-quality standards. - Support Business Units: Collaborate with different business units to implement strategies that align with the company's overall growth objectives. - Provide Creative Solutions: Contribute to business development meetings, offering innovative ideas and solutions to challenges faced by the business units.

The Senior Business Development Officer will be responsible for overseeing and leading key business development initiatives. This role requires close collaboration with stakeholders, business units, and external consultants to ensure that strategic goals are met. The officer will contribute to the company’s growth by identifying new business opportunities, assisting with project proposals, and ensuring the efficient execution of business development projects.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with stakeholders to define business development goals, project scope, risks, success measures, and resource requirements.

  • Ensure Business Development Success: Ensure that business development projects are completed within scope, on budget, and within the scheduled timeframes, maintaining high-quality standards.

  • Support Business Units: Collaborate with different business units to implement strategies that align with the company's overall growth objectives.

  • Provide Creative Solutions: Contribute to business development meetings, offering innovative ideas and solutions to challenges faced by the business units.

  • Develop Project Artifacts: Create and manage business development communication artifacts such as proposals, schedules, and budgets.

  • Regular Updates: Provide regular status updates on business development projects and solicit feedback from stakeholders and project teams.

  • Assist in Business Proposals: Create and assist in the preparation of business proposals, estimates, and schedules to aid in securing new business opportunities.

  • Prepare Reports: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, and share progress during internal business unit performance evaluations.

  • Documentation and Data Security: Ensure proper documentation and data security for all business development projects.

  • Monitor Budgets and Resources: Track project budgets, staffing needs, key performance metrics, and legal requirements to ensure successful project completion.

  • Consult with External Experts: Work with consultants to maximize output and value from new business opportunities.

  • Manage Subcontractors: Plan, schedule, and monitor project activities, including managing subcontractors.

  • Project Criteria & Metrics: Establish criteria, metrics, and procedures to ensure that business development goals are achieved and changes are effectively managed.

  • Lead Status Meetings: Lead status review meetings with internal teams, vendors, and clients to ensure alignment with business objectives.

  • Train and Motivate Teams: Provide training and support to junior team members, fostering motivation and resolving conflicts as necessary.

  • Resolve Issues: Address any technical and operational challenges promptly to ensure smooth project execution.

  • Leverage Internal Resources: Make efficient use of available internal resources to ensure successful business development project implementation.

Job Requirements

  • Education: Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.

  • Experience: A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in business development or a related role within a corporate environment. Candidates with PMI or PMP certification are preferred.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong business development and project management skills, including prioritization and documentation.

  • Excellent communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Proficiency in business development tracking tools and project management software.

  • Strong technical understanding to define requirements and manage business development projects effectively.

  • Analytical abilities to manage shifting priorities and demands.

  • Ability to mentor junior team members and share expertise effectively.
