Job Description

The female-only internship program is a one-year program for fresh graduates who wish to develop their skills and career.  The objectives of the program are, empowering young female graduates and impacting the organization's gender parity that provides emerging female talents an opportunity to apply knowledge and enhance skills through mentoring and coaching, expanding their professional network, working on value-added projects, gaining hands-experience, and getting acquainted with the oriental difference.

Duties & Responsibilities:

•    Assist in the development and preparation of bid documents, SBAs, and other procurement documentation.
•    Assist in coordinating the feedback and communication to all bidders.
•    Solicitation of vendors assessment reports from units; provide feedback on vendors performance
•    Consult with customers in timely manner in order to fully understand their requirements, advising them as appropriate.
•    Assist Purchasing goods and services, completing all documentation according to CARE’s policies and procedures; passing all contracts to the Senior Procurement Officer for verification.
•    Preparing weekly Procurement Status Report (PSR) for projects/programs assigned.
•    At all times, ensuring professional and cordial relationships with internal and external stakeholders
•    Prepare standard contracts in line with CARE guidelines, ensuring that CARE’s interests are protected and that the contract is legally binding
•    Ensure there is no conflict of interest in managing the entire procurement process
•    Manage CARE’s vendors ethically and professionally
•    Ensure that suppliers are aware, understand, and are compliant with CARE procurement policy, procedures, local laws, and documentation required.

Monthly Stipend :- 216USD

Job Requirements

IV Qualification 
A EDUCATION

•    Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (Management, Accounting, Business Administration, procurement /purchasing, logistics and supplies management) or other related fields /

B) Requirement 
•    Zero year 
•    Fresh graduate of 2023-2024
•    Only female applicants

C TECHNICAL SKILLS
Required:
•    Good written and verbal Amharic, English, Afar language skills

•    Ability to communicate in local language (Afar language skill)
•    Firm belief in gender equality and sensitivity to vulnerable groups
•    Team player, flexible, and able to work in a multi-cultural working setting.
•    Quick learning ability, communication, and strong interpersonal skills. 
•    Ability to work in a stressful situation can multi-task, excellent writing skills, team player and problem solver.
D) COMPETENCIES
•    Courage, accountability, respect, excellence, planning, and organizing, initiating action, innovation, interpersonal skills, and stress tolerance.
