Job Description

To supervise and maintain all farmland are free from pesticide, herbicides etc.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Designs and conducts periodic reviews and appraisals of the situation of plant pest and pesticide problems in the farm, 

  • Advice the farm manager on necessary actions to implement pest and pesticide management techniques,

  • Prepare pest assessment schedule (Variety, Plot), 

  • Prepare pest assessment reports in type of pests, stage of the pest and/or the attack level and submits the report daily for decision, 

  • Collect samples of unknown pests and weeds and submits for his nearest boss for identification,

  • Assess the post spraying the pest control chemical efficacy,

  • Keep records of sprayed plots and varieties regularly, 

  • Inspect the chemical spraying activity on the field and check the technic and condition of spraying, recommend corrective action, 

  • Performs other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor

Job Requirements

Qualification and Skills

  • BSc or MSc in Agricultural engineering or Agronomy or Horticulture or Related fields of studies.

Experience:  

  • 4 years for BSc

  • 2 years for MSc 

Skills:

  • Emergency Situations management skills 

  • Pest Control & Management skills

  • Problem solving skills

  • Communication skills.
