The Ethiopian Nurses Association (ENA), established in 1952, is Ethiopia's first nursing association, legally recognized and representing over 103,000 nurses. Its primary goals are to standardize and promote quality nursing services through research, education, leadership, and governance. ENA has been a member of the International Council of Nurses (ICN) since 1957 and operates as a not-for-profit organization focused on advocating for the nursing profession and protecting nurses' rights.

Member Affairs Management and Support

• This function focuses on addressing the needs and concerns of members. It involves managing membership applications, renewals, and providing resources that support professional development. Effective communication channels are established to ensure members are informed about benefits and opportunities.

Project Activity Management and Support

• Responsibilities include planning, executing, and evaluating initiatives that promote nursing practice and education. Collaboration with stakeholders ensures these projects meet the evolving needs of the nursing community.

Event Management and Resource Mobilization

• Organizing events such as conferences, workshops, and seminars is vital for networking and professional development. This function includes logistics planning, securing venues, coordinating speakers, and mobilizing resources to ensure successful events that engage members.

Support Knowledge Building and Knowledge Sharing

• Facilitating knowledge exchange among members enhances professional growth. This includes organizing educational programs, webinars, and creating platforms for sharing best practices. Encouraging a culture of continuous learning helps keep members updated with the latest advancements in nursing practice.

Job Requirements

Required Skills and Experience

• BSC degree with more than 4 year experience and Msc with 2 years’ experience in nursing and related fields 

• Fluency in English language communication 

• Experience in liaising different organizations to one mission
