Cheshire Ethiopia is an Ethiopian Resident not for profit Civil Society Organization and invites qualified applicants for the following post፡-  

Basic salary: 21,800

Medical per Annum: 15,000

Transport allowance per month: 500

Duty station: Addis Ababa

Job Summary: - Under the general supervision of the Executive Director the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer  is responsible for planning, organizing, directing and coordinating the overall Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation functions of Cheshire Ethiopia .

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Organizes and coordinates planning, monitoring and evaluation activities within the strategic horizon of CE

  • Performs SWOT analysis to set the ground for strategic planning

  • Interfaces with different work units and/or consultants in the preparation and/or updating of strategic planning and oversees implementation of same upon approval

  • In compliance with the strategic plan, prepares drafts of annual plan and budget for CE through and with different work units

  • Organizes budget hearings round and consolidates the consensus of participants

  • Follows up on the execution and utilization of approved operational plan and accompanying budget

  • Studies and introduces performance standards and indicators thereby to measure the performance outputs of different work units

  • Performs variance analysis between plan/budget and actual performances and shares learning from PM&E process with the wider team

  • Proposes corrective measures to narrow avoid negative variances in the successive periods of the fiscal/budget year

  • Assesses optimum usage of financial, human, physical, and information resources of CE

  • Identifies and develops plans to enhance sustainable income and best utilization of same

  • Indicates fund requirements of emerging projects and means of financing including writing project proposals as required

  • Assists the Executive Director in periodic and annual reporting tasks

  • Performs other related activities as assigned by Executive Director.

Job Requirements

Qualification: MA/BA in Monitoring and Evaluation, or Project Management or statistics or related fields

Experience: 5/7
