Roles and Responsibilities

• Spearhead research initiatives to identify and evaluate novel materials with superior properties, focusing on strength, weight reduction, durability, and environmental sustainability.

• Stay ahead of the curve by actively monitoring advancements in material science and identifying potential applications that revolutionize our product lines.

• Cultivate a deep understanding of emerging material trends and their potential impact on product design and performance.

• Design and execute rigorous material testing procedures to assess mechanical, chemical, and physical properties using advanced testing equipment.

• Utilize sophisticated data analysis tools to interpret test results, identify potential failure mechanisms, and optimize material performance.

• Foster a data-driven approach to material selection, ensuring optimal material choices based on scientific evidence.

• Develop and implement comprehensive material specifications that seamlessly integrate into product design and manufacturing processes.

• Collaborate closely with design engineers to ensure chosen materials meet stringent functional and performance requirements.

• Proactively participate in the design phase, proposing material solutions that optimize product performance, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness.

• Lead the identification and qualification of potential material suppliers, prioritizing quality, reliability, and cost-efficiency.

• Partner with suppliers to establish robust material specifications and stringent quality control procedures.

• Conduct or oversee supplier audits to guarantee adherence to established quality standards and ensure consistent material performance.

• Author clear, concise, and compelling technical reports documenting research findings, test results, and material recommendations.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date material data sheets and technical specifications for internal reference.

• Effectively communicate complex technical information to engineers, designers, and other stakeholders, fostering clear understanding and collaboration.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Material Science, Engineering,or a related field.

• 3-5 years of experience in a material engineering role with a proven track record of successful material selection and integration in product development projects.

• In-depth understanding of material properties, behavior, testing methodologies, and failure analysis techniques
