Job Description

The Opportunity

The Nutrition Assistant is responsible for implementation of all health and nutrition related activities including SAM, IYCF-E at local level using participatory and community based or outreach approaches. Also expected to provide technical support Woreda Health extension Workers and other staff working in the area of under-five nutrition. Also responsible for collecting child Health Data including growth monitoring and sharing for appropriate health expert for case identification based on the biometric information

Job Requirements

The Individual

  • BSC degree or Diploma in Public Health, Nursing and Human Nutrition and other related subject.

  • Minimum of 2 years NGO related work experience for degree holders and 4 years of related work experience for diploma holders with CMAM intervention Project.

Languages required:

  • Fluency in English language is essential

  • In addition to Amharic other local Knowledge of Local Languages is a desirable
