Job Description
Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal health and safety regulations; Conduct regular health and safety inspections of facilities and equipment. Identify potential hazards and implement corrective measures to prevent accidents and injuries; Develop and deliver health and safety training programs for employees.
Security Monitoring and Surveillance: Monitor security cameras and alarm systems to detect and respond to any suspicious activity; Conduct regular patrols of the premises to prevent theft, damage, and unauthorized access; Coordinate with law enforcement agencies to address security concerns when necessary.
Incident Response and Investigation: Respond promptly to emergencies such as accidents, fires, medical incidents, and security breaches; Coordinate emergency response activities and manage evacuation procedures; Conduct thorough investigations of health, safety, and security incidents and implement preventive measures.
Access Control: Manage access control systems to restrict entry to authorized personnel only; Issue and maintain access badges for employees, contractors, and visitors; Monitor visitor activity and enforce visitor policies to ensure premises security.
Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities; Develop and implement health, safety, and security plans and protocols to mitigate identified risks; Regularly review and update health, safety, and security policies and procedures.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of health, safety, and security incidents, inspections, and training sessions; Prepare detailed reports on health, safety, and security performance metrics for management review; Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders regarding health, safety, and security matters.
Safety Dress Identification and Selection: Collaborate with management to identify appropriate safety attire for staff, considering job-specific hazards; Source and procure safety clothing, footwear, and personal protective equipment (PPE) that meet quality standards; Evaluate safety dress options for comfort, durability, and compliance with safety regulations.
Staff Safety Dress Advisory: Provide guidance on the proper use and maintenance of safety attire and PPE; Conduct training sessions to educate employees on the importance of wearing safety dress and adhering to dress code policies; Address concerns or questions regarding safety attire and offer solutions or alternatives as necessary.
Cleanliness of Office and Compound: Ensure that the office and surrounding compound are kept clean and orderly; Oversee and coordinate cleaning schedules and activities with janitorial staff or contractors; Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness standards are met and address any issues promptly; Promote a clean and organized work environment by encouraging staff to maintain their workspaces.
Maintenance: Inspect the physical condition of buildings and infrastructure. Ensure all maintenance requests are addressed promptly. Verify that electrical, plumbing, and all the systems are working correctly. Overview the general service of Kality offices.
From recognized university degree or equivalent in Occupational Health and Safety or relevant field and at least 4 years related work experience in a similar role.
Knowledge of health, safety, and security principles, practices, and technologies; Familiarity with local, state, and federal health and safety regulations.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to remain calm and composed in emergency situations.
Certification in CPR, First Aid, or relevant emergency response training is desirable.
Familiarity with safety dress standards and guidelines, including those specific to the automotive industry; Experience in selecting and procuring safety attire and PPE for diverse work environments.
Knowledge of cleaning practices and standards for maintaining a hygienic work environment
