Position: Stock Controller

Duty Station: Addis Ababa

Duration of Contract: Temporary Contract

Closing date: August 13, 2024

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate record of inventory and stock management systems according to organizational policy

  • Conducts physical inspections and quality control of FHEs Property to ensure that all items are accounted for and in serviceable condition

  • Carry out regular audits of physical and digital stock to ensure inventory records are accurate

  • Ensure incoming goods are receipted and managed appropriately according to organizational policy

  •  Identifies anomalies and/or discrepancies and the details thereof, if the item is newly purchased item, reports to the procurement unit/section for immediate action.

  •  Daily maintains accurate and auditable property records in the excel sheet 

  •  Updates all physical verification records 

  • Collects disposable materials data from All area programs, identifies the materials and way of disposal, prepares recommendations and participate in disposal of property and supplies, including all types of waste materials, 

  • Supports the head office and area programs on fixed asset tagging 

  • Collets fixed and non-fixed asset reports from all area programs and organizes the report and makes it ready for any use, 

  • Ensure annual inventory is properly conducted and reported to the head office at all FHE programs (including head office) on time. 

Job Requirements

  • Full agreement with FH’s Christian foundation and beliefs as expressed in The Heartbeat: our Values, Vision, and Purpose.

  • BA degree  in Accounting / Supplies Chain Management / Management from a recognized university

  • At least 3 years relevant experience preferably in international NGO

  • Practical experience in stock management and control is required.

  • Proficiency in MS Dynamics, MS-Word and MS-Excel and other applications 

  • Proficiency in spoken and written Amharic and English languages;
