Job Description

Human resources officers develop and implement strategies that help their employers select and retain appropriately qualified staff within that business sector. They recruit staff, prepare job advertisements, interview and short-list people, negotiate with employment agencies, and set up working conditions. Human resources officers also administer the payroll, review salaries and advise on remuneration benefits and employment law. They arrange for training opportunities to enhance employees' performance.

Duties and Responsibilites

  • Performs personnel matters as recruitment, placement, transfer, promotion, demotion, termination, salary increment and benefit programs and other personnel administration matters as per company rules, labour law as instructed by supervisor;

  • Participates in the planning of short- and long-term corporate manpower requirement of the company.

  • Receives employee requisitions from concerned work units, checks the staffing plan and the budget for same and seeks approval of authorities for advertising vacancies if appropriate.

  • Facilitates for interviewing and testing of applicants and submits proposal to management.

  • Provides advice, guidance and information to employees and supervisors on interpretation, application & implementation of the company’s personnel policies, procedures & regulations;

  • Advise and assists employees in solving personal problems or difficulties associated with work.

  • Prepares and submits complex letters of correspondence.

  • Resolves staff problems in such areas as employee performance, absenteeism and grievances by interviewing employees and supervisors and recommending or instigating remedial actions.

  • Administers pension schemes, benefits, recreational facilities and other welfare programs as practiced by the company.

  • Deals with and administers employees disciplinary issues. 

  • Liaises with HR administration work units of the respective plants /factories of the company to meet their manpower requirements and deal with personnel matters.

  • Maintains confidential personnel records.

  • Performs other related duties as required.

Job Requirements

From recognized university/college first degree in Management/ Business Administration/ Business Management/Human Resource Management/Personnel Management/Public Administration or other relevant field of study 

At least 3 years related work experience

Knowledge of ERP systems (Hillmark) is an advantage
