Job Description
Responsible to ensure the company is in compliance with all relevant regulations and internal policies and procedures and controls all potential risks associated with the company's operations while maintaining up-to-date knowledge of any changes in regulatory requirements.
Identifies actual and potential fraud risk areas and coordinates the fraud risk assessment process,
Assesses the scale of risk by identifying possible impact and corresponding likelihood of occurrence,
Carries out periodic risk assessments to test whether the controls in place respond to the risks identified,
Revise procedures, reports, and other documentation periodically to identify hidden risks or non-conformity issues,
Controls company’s systems to prevent or deal with violations of external regulatory bodies’ requirements and internal policies,
Proposes improvement areas to manage potential risks,
Works with internal audit closely to ensure that the risk-based audit approach is properly taken,
Participates in internal audit finding reviews to help identify areas of existing or potential risk to be addressed,
Revises anti-money laundering policies and regulatory body requirements to ensure the company is compliant,
Assesses the company's future ventures to identify possible compliance risks,
Investigates all breaches and near breaches of all regulations and statutes and report material breaches in compliance as required as soon as reasonably practicable,
Provides guidance and recommendations on corrective actions or risk mitigation of potential issues in policies, systems, and employee or partner conduct,
Maintains a centralized reporting system to capture and record any breaches in compliance.
Takes initiative to identify weaknesses, challenges, and legitimate solutions to simplify the process, design financial control tools, provide feedback, share best operational practices in accounting, financial management/reporting, etc.,
Ensures risk and compliance training is delivered effectively as required,
Maintains up-to-date knowledge and understanding of appropriate regulations and internal policies and procedures, including money laundering regulations, General Data Protection Regulations, firm standards of client service, anti-bribery and corruption, conflicts of interest, client due diligence, etc.,
Prepares and submits periodic reports regularly for senior management and external regulatory bodies as appropriate,
Perform other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.
BA or MA in Accounting, Economics, or other related fields.
Experience:
3 years for MA
5 years for BA
