District credit Recovery Officer for Jimma District

Job Summary 

• District credit Recovery Officer  will conduct analysis of customers with Non-Performing Loans and recommend mechanisms of rehabilitating the loan, which may include extending the grace period, waiver of arrears, due date extension, restructuring mode off repayment and/or amount, injection of more funds, follows-up the status of NPL loans and prepares periodic reports. S/he is also responsible for implementing credit recovery strategies to ensure minimal credit losses and maximum recoveries, within the assigned district.

Academic & Professional Qualification

• Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Accounting and Finance, Management or other related fields.

Experience

• Minimum of five (5) years relevant experience

Required Technical Competency 

• Good knowledge of loan workout and recovery processes and strong knowledge of lending principles in the commercial business market. 

• Solid understanding of lending procedures and credit reporting agencies.

• Proficient in reading / interpreting financial statements for the purpose of underwriting credit.

• Knowledge of policies, rules, regulations and directives related to the financial sector.

• Sound knowledge of macroeconomic and microeconomic environment.
