Employee Contract Type:

Local - Fixed Term Employee (Fixed Term)

Work Location: East BaleZone Legehida woreda and Daweeserer woreda

Major Responsibilities

  • Ensure the timely and proper implementation community level Nutrition Activities in close coordination with community structures

  • Facilitate Nutritional screening activities in close coordination with WDAs and HEWs

  • Implement and provide technical support for TFP on (IDPs), and mobilization of community, and nutritional screening for both host & IDPs

  • Conduct regular cooking demonstrations and mass awareness creation sessions

  • Ensure linkage of OTP/SC discharges, to the distribution of protection and TSF ration (If applicable), to prevent further deterioration.

  • Ensure Job aids are available in Health posts (HEW quick reference, Lookup table, report format, and other awareness creation guidance

Job Requirements

Required Professional Experience

  • Minimum two years of working experience with NGOs in the CMAM program;

Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification

  • BSc degree/in Public Health/ Clinical Nursing/Nutrition and related health field of study preferred from accredited universities or health colleges

Certificates on:

  • Revised 2019 IMAM guideline, and IYCF-E training

  • Trained on the Family MUAC approach and TSFP/MAM

Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications

  • Knowledge, training, and experience in community-level nutrition activities and management of MAM and SAM with/without medical complications is additional assets

  • Demonstrated skills in Community level structures with CMAM program planning, implementation, and monitoring.

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment. Good human relations skills.

  • Willingness to work under pressure and extra hours Willingness and capacity to be flexible and accommodating when faced with difficult and frustrating working conditions.

  • Strong adherence to World Vision values.

  • Strong character traits, including emotional stability, adaptability, ability to handle stress, cultural and gender sensitivity, and integrity.

  • Prepared to live and work in a remote and uncertain security environment

  • Fluent in oral and written English and Amharic.

Travel and/or Work Environment Requirement

  • Willingness to work in SC and OTP
