Under the general supervision of the manager the junior speech Therapist is responsible for treatment and assessment of children with disabilities (CWDs); reassesses CWDs of assistant rehabilitation workers on quarterly base; advices parents and caregivers to carry out speech therapy at home; writes prescription for assistive devices and medical referral in collaboration with Multi-disciplinary team (MDT). Trains assistant rehabilitation workers in acquiring basic skills in speech therapy. Updates and uploads data of CWDsin the data system.

 Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

• Gives treatment for CWDs including follow-up children per day.

• Develops assessment and treatment plan for new CWDs per week.

• Responsible for reassessment of CWDs of assistant rehabilitation workers on quarterly basis and give feedback.

• Prescribes appliances and medical referral for CWDs in cooperation with MDT.

• Writes discharge form and medical certificate for CWDs who have completed treatment in collaboration with MDT.

• Writes monthly report; next month action plan and case story of CWDs who have successfully completed.

• updates the data system on daily and weekly basis as well uploading clients’ information.

• Provides training for assistant rehabilitation workers on basic speech therapy skills.

• Transfers his /her CWDs cards to assistant rehabilitation workers during annual leave or any other leave

• Respects CE employees, rules and regulation and also observe professional ethic.

• Performs any related jobs assigned by immediate supervisor.

Medical allowance per year: 15000

Transportation allowance per month: 500
