Perform routine medical laboratory tests for the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease. May work under the supervision of a medical technologist.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Receives specimens from wards, and phlebotomy room or obtains specimens directly from the patient.

• Aliquot specimens properly as needed

• Conducts blood tests for transfusion purposes; may draw blood from patient's finger, ear lobe, or vein observing principles of asepsis to obtain blood samples.

• Performs calibration and troubleshooting on testing systems and instruments to ensure adherence to established standards of accuracy.

Job Requirements

• BSc Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, with relevant work experience and professional renewed license as a Medical Laboratory Technologist approved by Food, Medicine and Health Care Administration and Control Authority of Ethiopia.

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in similar role.
