Purpose of the Job:

To enhance and support the efficiency of Operational data and outputs by devising strategically important technologies, business partnering and coordination of available resources using strategic mechanism within the framework of the company IT Policy and standardization.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

·  Manage the implementation of information systems strategies, policies and procedures to help the company achieve its business goals and ensure the security of data and information systems.

·  Manage the implementation of IT policies and procedures in the Plant.

·  Guide and coordinate activities related to selection, acquisition, development and installation of major information systems.

·  Oversee the design, selection and implementation of Information Technology applications and support infrastructures.

·  Oversee that company’s disaster recovery system is fully operational at all times.

·  Monitor the compliance of the information systems network and infrastructure with internal standards.

·  Liaise with all functions to continuously identify new Information Technology requirements.

·  Provide advice to senior management on matters related to developing the company’s information system and technological capabilities.

·  Serve as a point of contact to any concerning all IT related matters.

·  Update the users with changes on the current IT systems and provide technical support and training to the IT users of the company.

·  Enhance the security requirement of IT system in the plant.

·  Update to the staffs the latest development of IT system and technologies.

Generic Duties of the Position:

• Recommend human resources requirements of the Department and develop plan for meeting the requirements.

• Develop, implement and review relevant departmental policies and procedures.

• Review, approve and submit departmental reports to relevant organs.

• Support the development of subordinates through periodic performance evaluations, coaching, mentoring, ongoing performance dialogue and feedback.

• Manage disciplinary concerns of the department’s staff.

• Conduct training on latest development of IT system.

• Enhance the security and safety of IT system and Infrastructure of the plant.

Job Requirement

Qualification and Experience:

·  MSc Degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology (Engineering), Computer Science or related fields with six (6) years of demonstrated experience out of which three (3) years in a supervisory position                              

Or

BSC degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology (Engineering), Computer Science or related fields with eight (8) years of demonstrated experience of which four (4) years in a supervisory position.
