The Consortium of Christian Relief and Development Association (CCRDA) is a national nonprofit umbrella association of over 469 secular and faith-based NGOs/CSOs operating in Ethiopia.
The Consortium of Christian Relief & Development Association (CCRDA) is looking for a highly motivated professional to fill the following post.
Report to: Networking & partnership Team Director
Job Summary
Provides technical support to the Forum and executes various tasks related to the development of Forums including research working paper production, preparation of terms of reference, fund-raising proposals, handling of minutes and organizing meetings. The incumbent needs to have good technical knowledge on the issues of food security & environment. She/He is the link between the Forum and the Membership Development and Networking Team and thus has dual responsibilities.
Description of Duties
Provides technical support to the Forum and performs activities as instructed by the Secretariat and the Forum Steering Committee for the development of the Forum.
Supports the efforts of ensuring the Forum’s financial self-sustainability byway of preparing fund-raising proposals.
Technically assist the Forum Steering Committee in the preparation of goals, objectives and annual plans and action plans and submits plan accomplishment reports regularly.
Contributes toward the overall CCRDA planning exercise and its accomplishments.
Performs research activities related to the Forum.
Facilitates organization of the Forum’s general assembly meetings, Steering Committee meetings, and the Forum’s Working Groups/Taskforces meetings, takes minutes of the meetings, and implements the decisions made therein.
Conducts inventory of likeminded actors operating locally and internationally and facilitates the establishment of partnership/networking with.
Serves as a focal person on the Forum related matters.
Facilitates the proper functioning of the Forum including arrangement of dialogue sessions with stakeholders and partners, communication, development of position paper and distribution of the same.
Prepares and regularly updates database of the Forum and Forum related information and avails the same as a point of reference to all interested stakeholders.
Organizes seminars, workshops, trainings, and other forums of experience sharing and learning so as to promote and strengthen the Forums.
Represents the CCRDA and the Forum as assigned, submits reports of each representation, and share experiences to the Forum members and the Secretariat staff as appropriate.
Keeps all records and documents of the Forum.
Assists in the development of systems in which networking among Forums is possible and in changing working groups into networks.
Prepares and distributes information brochures to promote the Forum.
Identifies issues and potential contributors (as speakers) and upon approval of the Steering Committee and the Forum invites them to the appropriate meetings to share ideas and/or introduce new initiatives.
Assists in the preparation of regular reports on the activities.
Gives training in his/her area of specialization to the staff and employees of member agencies.
Performs all other related jobs assigned by his/her immediate supervisor.
Terms of Employment: One year with a possibility of extension based on proven performance.
Place of work: Addis Ababa CCRDA complex
Salary: As per CCRDA scale with benefit packages
Education Required
Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agro-Economics, Agricultural Engineering, Economics or other related social Science field.
Preferred - Second degree.
Experience
Minimum of 8 years related work experience.
Additional requirement

Excellent organizational and time-management, and interpersonal and communication skills.
Fluent in English.
Computer literate with a high degree of proficiency and productivity.
Good networker with contacts in the sector.
Diligent, reliable, and focused, team player
NGO experience is an advantage.
