Job Summary

Digital Product Specialist is responsible for driving the success of digital product portfolio by leveraging user research, market trends, and data analysis to contribute significantly to the product vision, roadmap development, and feature prioritization. The role holder is also responsible for taking ownership of specific features, managing their entire lifecycle from ideation and design through development, launch, and ongoing optimization. By collaborating with cross-functional teams (design, development, marketing), the role holder will ensure seamless product delivery. In addition, the role holder is responsible for continuously analyzing product usage data to measure success, identify areas for improvement, and inform future product iterations, while also staying current on industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure the Bank's digital offerings remain competitive.

Academic & Professional Qualification

 Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Information System, Software Engineering or any other equivalent field.

 Bachelor’s/Masters Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Management is added advantage.

Job Requirements

Experience

Minimum of six (6) years relevant experience

 Strong knowledge of the Bank’s clients and their needs.

 Demonstrate a keen understanding of industry trends and their implications for the Bank as well as events in fast-paced markets.

 Good knowledge of banking regulations.

 Excellent potential of embracing new digital skills i.e adopting new innovations.

 Strong IT skills and knowledge of digital advancements.

Experience with Agile methodologies

Understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies (e.g., Agile - Scrum, Kanban).

Familiarity with Design Thinking principles and their application in product development.

Understanding of cloud computing concepts and deployment models (e.g., SaaS, PaaS, IaaS).

 Familiarity with Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) and their role in integrations between different systems.

 Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana).
