Habesha Breweries S.C. is looking for a Transport Manager.

The Role Summary:

The Transport Manager is expected to add value to the business on the assurance of smooth operation by managing, engaging, and influencing the transporters, factory warehouse operation team, sales team, and different stakeholders. Subsequently, he/she is expected to deliver all product orders/packing materials effectively and efficiently while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction; both internal and external.

Result Area:

Motivated and passionate workforce

• Train, coach, and mentor transport operation staff 

• Set objectives with all team members by the end of January and make a regular review of these objectives.

• Have one-to-one meetings throughout the year and give regular feedback.

• Carry out mid and end-of-year performance and development reviews conducted.

Stakeholder management

• Engage and influence transporters to match the periodical truck demand based on the seasonality need.

• Continuously engage with new and existing transporters to develop strategic partnerships.

• Work closely with Habesha distributors and Transporter to improve operational efficiency at the agent warehouse and proactively mitigate security risk.

Effective logistics performance

• Ensure the company’s owned truck is properly utilized and deployed to the area with lesser cost and/or more savings.

• Ensure no stock-out situation through proper truck planning. 

• Work closely with the sales team to bring the utmost utilization of resources to meet the market demand.

• Influence the commercial warehouse's team to fast-track the loading and offloading of trucks.

• Work closely with the procurement team to plan and utilize trucks for inbound shipments.

Customer Service 

• Deliver sales orders with OTIF.

• Ensure the transport service payment is settled to the transporter on the agreed time to crate smooth business operation.

• Ensure agile logistics service toward meeting customers’ demand.

• Ensure that customer complaints are addressed timely.

• Ensure regular customer surveys are carried out to measure their satisfaction.

Operational Planning

• Preparation of annual truck demand plan based on annual sales forecast and review based on the change of the volume.

• Prepare a monthly truck demand for the given month and work toward fulfilling the required number of trucks.

Reporting 

• Weekly full and empty stock on transit report to the demand planning team.

• Weekly truck availability and cost of delay at agent warehouse for S&OP meeting.

• Monthly fuel consumption report.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

• 5 years experience and above working as a fleet manager, logistics or transport manager, or in a similar job role

• Knowledge of safety and compliance regulations for transportation

• Ability to manage and coordinate multiple shipments and routes

• Strong organizational and communication skills

• Proficiency in transportation management software

• Strong leadership and team management skills

• Analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to make decisions under pressure
