The CDC seeks to partner with NGOs in a multi-country program to reach children in consequential geographies with routine immunizations and support health systems with capacity strengthening and resources for infectious disease surveillance.

The Grants Finance and Compliance Manager will ensure the successful implementation of the CDC-funded project to identify and vaccinate zero and under-dose children, support polio eradication, measles mortality reduction and regional measles and rubella elimination, hepatitis B and maternal and neonatal tetanus elimination, and other vaccine-preventable diseases (VPD) surveillance; global laboratory networks for polio and measles/rubella; planning and implementation of supplemental immunization campaigns; and strengthening of immunization delivery systems and capacities in high priority countries.

S/he also provides oversight of coordination; monitors program implementation; maintains relationships with project partners and key stakeholders; supports countries’ health system strengthening, strategic plans, and reports; and develops/utilizes systems to track subawardee performance. The primary function of this position is to strengthen the capacity of subawardees for grant management and ensure high quality, compliant service provision.

The Grants Finance and Compliance Manager will support the CDC DRC Project Director in the development of the Country Operating Plan (COP), planning annual targets, and ensuring appropriate use of resources. S/he will assist with identifying areas of concern within the project and work with the program team to find viable solutions. S/he will work with the MEL team to ensure continuous quality improvement. The position will work closely with the Technical Director so that the budget corresponds to and reinforces supported country activities.
