Job Summary

The National Local Procurement Manager ensures the organization procures the right items, at the right price, at the right time. They will save the organization money each year through strong procurement process documentation and adherence and staff training. They will also play a key role in providing strategic guidance to the Supply Chain Director. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

 People and Team Management 

• Directly manage 4-5 Procurement Officers.

• Build strong staff members through clear delegation, regular feedback, and leading trainings. 

• Manage workload effectively across the team.

• Lead hiring for Local Procurement and support other managers throughout Supply Chain.

Planning, Coordination, and Collaboration 

• Collaborate with large spend and large request frequency departments to ensure a clear, rolling 4-quarter forecast of locally procured items. 

• Create and maintain tools that facilitate critical information sharing between Local Procurement and requesting departments. 

• Create a culture of communication so that requestors have visibility into progress.   

• Analyze previous request data to look for opportunities of time or cost savings. 

Excellent Execution 

• Ensure strict adherence to the entire procure-to-pay process and contribute to the EthioChicken Procurement manual.

• Build strong supplier list of credible, reliable suppliers. 

• Conduct annual tenders for large purchases, securing the best prices and proactively identify potential suppliers. 

• Advocate and prioritize the most important improvements; create training materials and tools to roll out.

Supply Chain Leadership 

• Support Tech and Supply Chain Director in implementing technology to help achieve our goals.  

• Innovate to improve Local Procurement and Supply Chain Operations by brainstorming new ideas to challenges and building new tools and processes to accomplish these goals.

• Identify cross-cutting projects that would improve EthioChicken’s Supply Chain. 

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

• BA in any business fields

• Minimum of 2 years' experience
