Job Description
Apply the safety rules, participating with the General manager in defining and putting them in place.
Define and implementation of the strategy of the department.
Derived from the Company level, define the strategy for the barley supply chain, seeds, and R&D activities; update it yearly.
Define the budget of the department so does of all barley supply through the supply chain.
Management of the implementation (follow-up, deadlines, decisions).
Management of the current activities
Supporting the different managers of the Agri team in the planning and the organization of their activities.
Continuous improvement of the supply chain intervention Zones/woredas. Team optimization. Efficiency in to consideration.
Team coordination and optimization. With a frequent visit to the field.
Customers, suppliers, partners relationships and development
Reporting to Boortmalt Ethiopia General Manager.
Continuous improvement and structuration of processes and procedures.
Operational involvement
Supply chain partners alignment, including NGO.
Supply chain financing.
Financial and administrative management of the department
Financial and administrative control and follow up for all activities (supply chain, seeds, R&D, seed expertise) on the supply chain with the strong support of the country shared resources.
Follow up of the Ethiopian juridical situation, mainly on barley agri-business.
Qualifications
Degree in Agronomy and related fields.
At least 10 years of work experience in Agronomy, grain sourcing & supply chain out of which 3-5 years of experience in management position.
Fluent in English and Amharic
