Job Description

To boost client pleasure and confirmation, tests are carried out to identify high-quality coffee beans, processing, and end goods.
Job Purpose:
The purpose of the job is to inspect, analyze, grade and prepare coffee quality for washed, natural and local coffee as per exchange coffee contracts, specification and quality operations manual.
Supervises coordinates activities of workers engaged in Cupping, grinding, blending, and packaging of coffee and registers each sample before inspection.
Performs inspection, analysis and sets grade to all coffee samples that come through coding room and submits the results as per the kerchanshe grading procedures.
Prepares accurate grading sheet in three copies and distributes to the appropriate section.
Ensures proper handling and placement of quality equipment.
Prepares and submits report on daily inspection and grading to immediate supervisor.
Responsible and accountable for all grading result given by him/her
In case of suspicion on samples, requests re-sampling before the quality assessment is carried out and informs the immediate supervisor.
Presents report on commonly observed quality problems while conducting inspection.
Conduct routine and non-routine analyses of in-process materials, raw materials, samples, finished goods, or stability samples.
Interpret test results, compare them to established specifications and control limits, and make recommendations on appropriateness of data for release.
Perform visual inspections of finished products.
Compile laboratory test data and perform appropriate analyses.
Complete documentation needed to support testing procedures, including data capture forms, equipment logbooks, or inventory forms.
Calibrate, validate, or maintain laboratory equipment.
Participate in out-of-specification and failure investigations and recommend corrective actions.
Supply quality control data necessary for regulatory submissions.
Receive and inspect raw materials.
Investigate or report questionable test results.
Perform validations or transfers of analytical methods in accordance with applicable policies or guidelines.
Ensure lab cleanliness and safety standards are maintained.
Identify quality problems and recommend solutions.
Participate in internal assessments and audits as required.
Write technical reports or documentation, such as deviation reports, testing protocols, and trend analyses.
Write or revise standard quality control operating procedures.
Develop and qualify new testing methods.
Supervise or instruct other technicians or laboratory assistants.
Maintains the neatness of coffee laboratories as well as equipment and avoids any contact with contaminant/artificial odor.
React to, isolate and provide technical support for defects immediately and support sampling in a timely manner.
Provide training for proper methods for all area quality checks.
Perform analysis and set grade to sample as per the company’s quality grading procedures;
Performs other related tasks as assigned by the immediate supervisor
Qualification
BA in Agriculture, Horticulture, Plant science or related field's
Experience
3years’ of experience as a Cupper
Abilities
identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
Manage own time and the time of others
Knowledge of domestic as well as international coffee quality standard laws, legal codes, precedents, government regulations, executive orders, organization rules.
Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
