Job Description
The Role
The Human Resources Business Partner at the Brewery is directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination, and evaluation of the Brewery’s human resource function. In addition, the role serves as a key member of the operations team.
Result Areas & Responsibilities
HR Strategy Execution
Drive the creation & execution of the People Strategies and plans.
Drive flawless execution of HR Initiatives
Coordinate and execute workforce planning for the specific business unit.
Organizational Change Management
Proactively challenge the established organizational structure of the business unit to drive superior performance.
Ensure people issues are a key consideration when discussing and planning business activities.
Manage smooth organizational transitions using best practice change management methodologies.
Work with leaders to define team and organizational development needs to design and facilitate the delivery of solutions.
Performance & Talent Management
Ensure Performance and Talent Management drive the achievement of business goals through objective and development plan setting, performance calibration, and talent development.
Lead talent review/calibration to ensure high performance is rewarded and developed in line with the Management Development Cycle.
Implement business unit succession planning/talent management plans that support business goals
Employee Relations
Responsible for the HR Case List, ensuring that the Operations team is well supported to deal with all employee relations cases, by Habesha Policy, the labor policy, and best practices.
Listening to grievances and implementing disciplinary procedures.
Establish and maintain effective win-win working relationships with employees and their representatives through an environment that fosters communication and cooperation.
Recruitment and Selection
Recruiting staff by preparing job descriptions and job adverts; deciding on how best to advertise.
Shortlisting applicants for interview using a variety of selection techniques including psychometric testing; Interviewing shortlisted candidates.
Learning and Development
Analysing Learning and development needs in conjunction with line managers and L & D Managers; planning and delivering training, including staff inductions.
Education and Experience
BA Degree
5 years of Human Resources experience in a manufacturing environment.
Human Resources Management experience is essential.
Strong written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills.
Proven strong Employee Relations (ER) experience in a unionized environment.
Sound labor legislation knowledge (Labour proclamation and workplace-related legislation, etc.
Excellent influencing, consulting, and interpersonal skills with people at all levels, internally and externally.
Able to demonstrate up-to-date knowledge of theory and good practice in key areas of Human Resources Management.
Track record in delivering successful people management solutions in a manufacturing environment and supporting organizational change; influencing, building, and sustaining relationships to achieve results.
