Job Description
Lead and coordinate the implementation of WVE-WFP-GFD activities and take all the necessary steps to make sure program implementation is in accordance with the objectives or purpose of the program;
Manage the day-to-day implementation of the Food Resource Programs according to the approved objectives and plan of actions
Liaise and meet with donors and other food programming stakeholders for purposes of networking, information sharing and to nurture partnerships.
Assist in capacity building of the food team to meet established standards through on-the-job training, workshops, mentoring and any other appropriate methods
Engage surprise & regular field visit to ensure and install a standardized food assistance resources and warehouse management system according to WV/donor standards at Woreda level and follow WVE/Donors warehousing management practices
Monitor and evaluate budgeted and actual expenditure for the food resources grants with the finance manager and or relevant Grant Accountants on a monthly basis.
Leading, directing and supervising role of WFP staff under his supervision (South Tigray Olfa, Mehoni, Korem, Zata, Raya Alamata, Alamata, Chercher, Raya Azebo)
Required Professional Experience
MA/MSc or BA/BSc Degree in Agric. Econ, Disaster Management, Rural Development, Economics, Development Studies and other related fields
Experience: 6 years experiences on USAID/WFP funded emergency food assistance projects
Experience in using word, excel and other computer skills is an asset

Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification
MA/MSc or BA/BSc Degree in Agric. Econ, Disaster Management, Rural Development, Economics, Development Studies and other related fields
Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications
6 years experiences on USAID/WFP funded emergency food assistance projects or relevant work experience related experience NGO experience is advantageous
Good computer skill in MS Offices and operating office equipment
Fluent in oral and written English and Tigrigna language.
