Hirdaramani Garment PLC Ethiopia is a modern garment manufacturing plant in Hawassa region with more than 1500 work force. The company is looking for a qualified Senior Quality & Technical Manager with the below qualifications. The position is entitled to an attractive perks and benefits package.  

Primary Responsibilities And Duties

• Promote the attitude of mind for quality to all company employees;

• Ensure Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and Quality Assurance Procedure are maintained and implemented in the factory to minimize the defect rate and meet the Customers’ quality standards;

• Analyze and understand customers’ requirement, guide sample development ensuring the viability for bulk production; pattern adjustments and innovations related to SMV calculations;

• Work closely with Plant GM and Production on order inquiries, assess the do-ability of the product, advise on resource requirements (such as machines, attachments, and skills) and provide feedback to Merchandising team on order acceptance;

• Coordinate and communicate with Customers on issues related to products, technical specifications, and raw material etc.;

• Work with all related departments/ partners related to preventive actions to avoid potential quality issues for each style in production, or resolve any quality issue;

• Make decision for all technical specifications of the garment including the construction and operation sequence, and the machine, attachment, and work methods to meet the customer’s expectation by taking all practical consideration into account;

• Monitor, analyze the QCO expected/required efficiency is achieved and target completion after line feeding;

• Ensure all relevant information and required management documents are maintained, prepared timely and accurately.

Job Requirements

Required Qualification And Experience

• BSc Degree in Quality Management, Industrial Engineering;

• Knowledge of the Production process, garment construction, sewing techniques, quality standards, and product testing;

• Understanding of customer requirements, experience in customer service and supplier negotiation.
