The Transport Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating transportation operations within an organization. Manage a team of drivers and other transport staff, ensuring the efficient and safe movement of goods and passengers. The Transport Supervisor also monitors schedules, maintains records, and implements policies and procedures to optimize transportation operations.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate transportation activities, including the movement of goods and passengers.

• Manage a team of drivers and other transport staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.

• Develop and enforce transportation-related policies, procedures, and safety regulations

• Plan and schedule transportation routes to optimize efficiency and meet customer requirements.

• Coordinate with other departments, such as operation, warehouse, and customer service, to ensure smooth transportation operations.

• Maintain accurate records of transportation activities, including driver logs, vehicle pre trip inspection reports, handover checklist and fuel usage

• Analyze transportation data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement appropriate strategies.

• Coordinate the preventive maintenance and repair of all truck based on the schedule with fleet department

• Manage transportation-related budgets, including fuel costs and driver expenses.

• Resolve transportation-related issues, such as delays, accidents, and customer complaints, in a timely and efficient manner

• Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and regulatory changes related to transportation

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field

• Proven experience in transportation and logistics in a supervisory or managerial role.

• Strong knowledge of transportation laws, regulations, and safety standards.

• Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS) and other relevant software applications

• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

• Effective leadership and team management abilities

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

• Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.

• Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and data analysis.

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
