Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Reporting Analyst to be a team player of our dynamic reporting team. The ideal candidate is passionate about using data to inform key business decisions and enjoys thinking about how to visualize or present data in informative ways. Experience in PowerBI and MS dynamics is strongly preferred. 

This individual will play a pivotal role in collecting, prioritizing, and designing analytical and statistical reports for various business entities and groups. The right candidate for this role is passionate about creating easy-to-understand dashboards that drive key business decisions, working across departments to understand and inform their analytics requirements, and coaching and growing young talent on his/her team. This role will also have opportunities to look at data and reporting across Hatch Africa’s (EthioChicken’s parent company) five other markets of operations.

Key Performance Indicators:

1. Time to action reporting requests (e.g., deploy new reports, make adjustments, etc) 

2. 99% confidence in data quality by business leadership

Main Duties:

• Conduct in-depth data analysis to extract valuable insights and trends.

• Analyze and interpret data by comparing it to past, current, and future projections and provide insights to business leadership.

• Utilize data visualization tools, with a focus on PowerBI, to present findings in an accessible and meaningful way.

• Collaborate with departments to gather and understand reporting requirements.

• Translate business needs into clear and actionable reporting specifications.

• Develop and generate reports and dashboards to meet business needs.

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to align reporting activities with organizational goals.

• Provide support and guidance to end-users in interpreting and utilizing reports effectively.

• Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in reporting workflows.

• Stay informed about new reporting tools and technologies to enhance analytical capabilities.

Additional Mandatory Duties:

• Ensure the integrity and security of data used in reporting activities.

• Collaborate with Reporting Manager to understand and implement reporting priorities.

• Participate in training sessions to enhance reporting and analytical skills.

• Contribute to documentation of reporting processes and best practices.

• Keep abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in data analysis and reporting.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Statistics, Information Technology).

• 2 to 4 years of proven experience as a Reporting Analyst or similar role.

• Proficiency in data analysis tools, with a focus on PowerBI.

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
