We are seeking a Health Officer who is fluent in speaking and writing in English, Amharic and Oromiffa, who has a passion for promoting and maintaining public health. You should have excellent communication skills, be an excellent team player, and have the ability to work independently and under pressure. No experience required. Location: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provide consultations with diagnosis and treatment of illnesses based on the guidelines in Ethiopia

• Provide appropriate referrals to the relevant referral sites in a timely fashion without delays

• Prescribe medications and instruct patients on correct usage based on guidelines

• Ensure medical supplies are available and support the projection of needs

• Provide patient education and instruct on prevention methods for illness, proper nutrition, and hygiene

Requirements:

• BSc Degree in Health Science or in a related field of study

• Fluent in speaking and written English, Amharic and Oromiffa (must)

• Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with colleagues and community members.

• Ability to work independently and under pressure.

Experience:

• No prior experience required.
