Addis International Catering (AIC) is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled procurement head. AIC is a "boutique" catering operation built to the highest international standards, providing catering and other services to quality carriers including EgyptAir, Emirates Airlines, Kenya Airways, Lufthansa, and Qatar Airways, plus a large number of VIP flights to the most exacting standards. In addition, AIC has a rapidly expanding range of services in the domestic bespoke catering market as well as contracts with institutions like the African Union and others. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, the successful candidate should have experience in a hospitality establishment.

Work Location- Addis Ababa, AIC Office

Salary: - 18,000-22,000 gross

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensured the hotel was supplied with the best quality products and the most competitive prices

• Planned and procured goods from international suppliers.

• Dealt with Banks, insurance companies, transporters, clearing and forwarding agents, and customs during the importation of goods from different parts of the world.

• Managed international procurement deals with suppliers across the world. Looked after all processes from sourcing a supplier to opening letters of credit, customs delivery, and a national bank.

• Conducted local market survey.

• Managed contracts and closely followed up on orders

• Analyzed bid documents and presented them to the executive committee

Requirements

• Proven experience as a purchasing/procurement head/supervisor/coordinator/senior officer, or relevant role in the hospitality/hotel industry

• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities

• Excellent organizational and leadership skills

• Familiarity with office management procedures and basic accounting principles

• BA Degree in the supply chain, purchasing, Management or a relevant field.
