Job Description

Background  of the company

  • Kerchanshe Group is the largest producer and exporter of coffee in Ethiopia, and engage in manufacturing, agro-processing and export business. It has a proud history of providing quality coffees to the local and international markets. Currently Kerchanshe Group needs a dedicated and motivated candidate.

Job Purpose:

  • Responsible to ensure all produces & products value chains are in compliance with all relevant international regulations, respective sustainability standards and internal policies and procedures while maintaining up-to-date knowledge of any changes in regulatory requirements.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Monitors the implementation progress of standards, quality manuals and standard operational procedures at all sites, processing units, and warehouses

  • Supports ICS Managers, Certification officers and farm experts on implementing Standard operational Procedures (SOP), quality manuals and certification requirements

  • Reports all non-compliances in regards to Quality manuals and Standard operational Procedures to the certification and standards manager

  • Prepares annual certification and compliance trainings, once approved implements it

  • Prepares or updates all Certification Body documents and submits within the dead line

  • Evaluates onsite documentations, makes on time corrections

  • Accompany auditors from certification bodies; for all annual visits, follow-up visits and un announced audits

  • Be liaison to the Certification bodies;  decides on notifications to the Certification bodies 

  • Takes full responsibility for the clearance of Non Conformity arises during field inspections,

  • Prepares corrective action plans and follow up on corrective measures

  • Provide certification and standards-related induction/ refresher training for company staff, and evaluate the effectiveness,

  • Verifies the weekly and monthly reports of all sites fully including work-related accidents and near miss, investigate causes and take corrective, preventive action plans accordingly.

  • Prepares quarterly and annual certification and standards compliance action plans in coordination with department manager.

  • Insures the implementation of the management plan outlined by Environmental Impact assessment (EIA) report for all newly established projects.

  • Insures the implementation of environmental and social guidelines of the company.

  • Performs other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Job Requirements

Qualification

  • MSC/BSC in Environmental Science, Food Science, Agriculture, Natural Resource Management, or related.

Experience:  

  • 3/5  MSC/BSC years experience
