Habesha Breweries S.C. is looking for an Auto Technician duty station in Debre Brihan.
Job Summery
We want to hire an auto electrician of trucks who will work on the electrical systems of trucks. An employee in this role will work in operation garage team of Auto technicians and Auto mechanics. It will be his/her job to diagnose the faults and failures of electrical and electronic systems of trucks so that the normal functioning of trucks will be restored.
The auto technician that we hire for this position will need to be capable of troubleshooting and solving electrical problems of trucks by applying necessary knowledge, skill, and best practices.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Performs regular inspections of trucks and report the findings.
Inspects and tests electrical connections, components, and controllers in overall systems of Trucks and their trailers.
Troubleshoots faults and malfunctions of electronic components in trucks,
Performs electronic diagnostics in defective equipment using devises such as motor analyzers, handheld computers and chassis charts.
Carries out Preventive/regular maintenance and Corrective repairs of electrical systems.
Communicate drivers about observed malfunctions during operation or testing and do required level of root cause & failure analysis & take required countermeasures.
Executes all works as outlined on maintenance work order with expected level of accuracy.
Replaces any damaged components/parts that can’t be repaired.
Performs inspections and tests to ensure that repairs are executed correctly and that the truck functions properly.
Performs maintenance & replacement on truck electrical system such as lighting systems, anti-lock brake systems (ABS), Engine controls units, battery charging system, starting system, and other electrical equipment and accessories in a truck, such as anti-theft alarms, GPS devices, air conditioning systems, central locking, dashboard displays, mirrors and seats with their signals, faults and circuits.
Replaces defective electrical parts like fuses, lamps, horns, switches, relays, circuit breakers, etc
Checking & testing charging and battery systems & its condition, performance of Starter, conditions of Alternator & Voltage Regulator, and other computerized components.
Connects power-operated truck accessories and equipment to the power supply.
Generates activity reports of all works performed.
Prepares description of parts and equipment for purchase ordering by providing technical specifications using the parts catalog
Takes good care of tools and instruments given for maintenance works.
Maintain and upkeep workplace cleanliness & organization.
Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner and reports any safety issues immediately to the Supervisor.
Education: Collage Diploma or TVET Level-III and above in Auto Electricians
Experience: more than 6 years in operations garage or commercial garage
Proven knowledge of mechanical and electrical components of vehicles
Experience in electrical& electronic wire diagram reading
Ability to use auto diagnostics or repair tools for vehicle troubleshooting.
Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
Communication and teamwork skills
