Job Description
The Opportunity
The Project Manager will be responsible and ultimately accountable for the Project’s quality economic empowerment programming and results achievement, program area financial management and compliance, program area team leadership, stakeholder and partner relations, and donor deliverables. Gender-sensitive principles of collaboration, participation, transparency, and respect for the agency of women’s organizations will be integrated into all aspects of this role. The Project Manager ensures the inter-relationship between this project and the DANIDA YEE Project that is being implemented at Gambella. The post-holder will be based in Addis Ababa yet travel to the project the location in Gameblla for approximately 50% of the time
Safeguarding Children and Young People (Safeguarding) and Gender Equality and Inclusion (GEI)
Understands and puts into practice the responsibilities under Safeguarding and GEI policies and Plan International’s Code of Conduct (CoC), ensuring that concerns are reported and managed in accordance with the appropriate procedures.
Ensures that all staff signed safeguarding policies;
Implement Plan International’s global policies for Safeguarding Children and Young People and Gender Equality and Inclusion are fully embedded in day to day work.

The Individual
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Education, Qualification and Knowledge/experience essential:
Academic Qualification BA/MA in the field of sociology, economic, development studies and any relevant discipline.
Seven years work experience in leading international Livelihood/Economic recovery projects that delivered high quality programming and gender transformative results, preferably in an Emergency setting and of which at least 3 years in managerial position with NGOs in leading programs/ projects or demonstrated equivalent combination. Ability to communicate effectively and authoritatively on area of expertise. Ability to develop effective working relationships across a network.
Demonstrated work experiences in partner management, TVET curriculum development/revision and economic empowerment and livelihood. Demonstrated experience in activities with communities and/or international development in INGOs working environment and preferable have experience on leading refugee & migration responses and/or wide range of disaster
Languages required:
Excellent written, verbal communication skills in English.
