Employee Contract Type:

Local - Fixed Term Employee (Fixed Term)

Major Responsibility.

  • Manage both Food Response & Cash transfer in the region; General food Distribution of WFP-GFD and WV JEOP, Nutrition BSFP/TSFP Project

  • Warehouse Management and Commodity Transportation

  • Food Resource Distribution Management; food and Nutrition; TSFP

  • Food Response Program Reporting, Accountability, Budgeting, Financial Planning, Reporting and Audits

  • Monitoring and Compliance Activities

  • Coordination, Correspondence and Networking ​

  • Personnel Management and Team Leadership

  • Lead and maintain a smooth and productive relationship with local government partners & donors at Woreda, Zonal & regional level for effective implementation of WFP & JEOP program in the operational zones.

Job Requirements

KNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE

Required Professional Experience

3-5 Years of experience in food resource programs management, disaster mitigation and development related fields with a minimum of 2 years’ experience on a management position.

Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification.

MA/MSc or BA/BSc Degree in Food Science, Agric. Econ, Disaster Management, Rural Development and other relates fields.

Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge and working understanding on Emergency Food resource management.

  • Demonstrated capacity to lead the team with similar scope of work.

  • Experience in food assistance programing, Grants/project management, Market assessment and Analysis, Cash transfer programing, performance management, project design, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and report writing.                                                        

  • Good understanding of humanitarian standards

  • Good knowledge of local context

  • INGO experience

  • Ability to work in high tension and high security risk situations.

  • Ability to work in and contribute to team building environment.
