Job Description

Our Company SBG industry PLC /Juice Line/ seeks to hire competent, experienced & aspiring applicants to fill the following vacant position.

 Duties and Responsibilities

  • The management of the Quality control Laboratory in a way that provides accurate results timely and at the required frequency and to be proactively involved in the promotion and implementation of good blowing, blending, filling and packaging practices in the Production Department.

  • The Quality Manager has to implement and manage Quality Assurance System to be compliance with regulations.

  • Organizes leads and mobilizes all the resources assigned for the work unit towards achieving the overall objectives of the Factory and specific objectives of the work unit.

  • Develops department strategic, medium and short term plans and budgets and submit for approval to the Factory Manager

  • Ensures the approved plans are communicated, understood and implemented within the company;

  • Develop various policies that are appropriate to the purpose of the company (department) and ensures they are communicated ,understood, implemented and maintained within the organization;

  • Ensuring the promotion of customer focus throughout the or his department;

  • Ensuring that the quality management system conforms to the requirements of this International Standard;

  • Ensuring that the processes are delivering their intended outputs;

  • Reporting on the performance of the quality management system and on opportunities for improvement in particular to top management;

  • Ensures relevant management and operational systems are developed and implemented and reviews their suitability, adequacy, and effectiveness

  • Ensures the needs of customers (both internal and external) are determined , their complaints and grievances are handled in order to enhance customer satisfaction and retain customers

  • Organizes and maintains updated the laboratory rooms and necessary equipment’s regularly.

  • Prepares annual and periodic plans with the implementation budget for the work unit.

  • Establishes systems and guidelines for how to take samples, taste, and give feed backs to the user work units.

  • Ensures that sample taking and testing activities are undertaken as per the established as well as international standard.

  • Guide checking of and take corrective action on all deviations, regarding Quality, Production, and Machinery.

  • Ensure proper housekeeping is maintained in the plant; and instruct for appropriate corrective actions.

  • Analyses data to identify the root cause of quality problems

  • Ensures the implementation of GMP (Good Manufacturing practice, Quality and Food Safety Management System) procedures.

  • Conduct bi-annual process capability study.

  • Guide supervision of incoming inspection process.

  • Ensure proper discipline is maintained in the team, take disciplinary measures as appropriate.

  • Analyze trade sample to ensure quality performance.

  • Review Quality Assurance report.

  • Formulate budget requirements and ensure implementation of approved budget.

  • Ensures that retention sample taking and retention analysis is performed timely, appropriately and as to the standard.

  • Mentor and coach employees assigned in the work unit.

  • Evaluates and prepare periodical performance reports regarding the work unit and submits to the planning unit.

  • Appraises the employee’s performance in the given period.

  • Performs other duties as required.

Job Requirements

Required Education and Experience: 

  • BSc Degree in Food science & Post Harvest Technology or Food Technology or Food Science & Nutrition  or Applied chemistry or Industrial Chemistry, Has ISO 22000:2018 and ISO 9001:2015, Familiar with statistical quality management  and Minimum 6 years’ Experience in in quality controlling, assurance and product development activities.
