Job Description

Our Company SBG industry PLC /Juice Line /seeks to hire competent, experienced & aspiring applicants to fill the following vacant position.

 Duties and Responsibilities

  • The Production Manager is the first support of the Factory Manager, in order to produce high quality of products in the most cost efficient manner. Helps the Department manager to designs the volume of inputs and outputs, standard quantity and quality of product, the status of machine hour and man hour, as to the capacity of the machine.

  • Implement systems and procedures to ensure manufacturing operations of the factory meets production plans, product quality and cost standards.

  • Develops department strategic, medium and short term plans and budgets and submit for approval

  • Prepares an annual plan and budget for the department based on the plan and budget of the Department.

  • Develop various policies that are appropriate to the purpose of the company (department) and ensures they are communicated ,understood, implemented and maintained within the organization;

  • Ensures relevant management and operational systems are developed

  • Ensuring the promotion of customer focus throughout the or his department;

  • Ensuring that the quality management system and food safety management system conforms to the requirements of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 22000:2018;

  • Ensuring that the processes are delivering their intended outputs;

  • Fulfils manpower, raw material and other required inputs for the production process at the required level and time.

  • Has to report all issues (manufacturing, technical, quality, employee administration issues and maintenance) to the Plant Manager.

  • Ensures the production machines are under preventive maintenance.

  • Follows strictly that all process of production are aligned and compatible correctly.

  • Ensures the machines and manpower required for the given amount production are fulfilled at any time.

  • Gives an immediate and proper solutions for problems arises in the production process.

  • Ensures that products are produced with accepted standard with optimal utilization of resources.

  • Regulates and ensures that all resources are utilized economically and effectively to increase productivity.

  • Coaches and mentors employees, familiarizes them with new machines and facilitates the required need based trainings.

  • Prepares periodical performance reports and submits to factory manager, general manager and CEO.

  • Coordinating with the purchase department in keeping minimum required inventory levels of packaging materials based on production demand and lead times.

  • Evaluates employees’ performance in the give period of time.

  • Collects and places byproducts at the appropriate place for disposal.

  • Performs other related activities as assigned.

Job Requirements

Required Education and Experience: 

  • BSc Degree in Food science & Post Harvest Technology or Food Technology or Food Science & Nutrition or food hygiene or Food Engineering Food and Minimum 6 years’ Experience relevant work experience  in production  activities. 

Roles, skills & attributes required

  • Comprehensive knowledge of production, engineering and maintenance activities

  • Good organizational skills including the ability to plan, design implement monitor, evaluate and report on projects.

  • Good resource (people, finances, asset) management skill

  • Good and appropriate technical skills, policy knowledge, and experience in construction of projects and maintenance of activities

  • Good communication skills, drive for results, flexibility, efficiency and creative thinking

  • Ability to work effectively under stressful condition

  • Experience in fuel station construction, follow up and evaluation

  • Experience of developing and managing budgets

  • Skill in project management

  • A high level of computer literacy
