Our Company SBG industry PLC /Juice Line/ seeks to hire competent, experienced & aspiring applicants to fill the following vacant position.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Operates and adjusts high pressure gas or steam using diesel oil and boilers in the steam generating plant

• Monitoring of the facilities utility plant, air handlers, exhaust fans,

• Maintains maximum boiler efficiency by adjusting, reading, and interpreting gauges, indicators, and steam flow meters.

• Maintains oil heaters, pumps, oil storage facilities, and oil unloading equipment

• Observes boiler plant operations through use of pneumatic controls, pressure gauges, and safety devices.

• Supervises or performs the chemical testing and treatment of boiler feed water.

• Maintain hourly and daily logs and equipment logs

• Maintains various records and reports relative to steam plant operations.

• Exercises supervision over employees allocated to the class of Boiler Operator I.

• Makes regular checks of plant equipment and makes adjustments, repairs, and services equipment as required.

• Checks the steam pressure level produced as against the requirement;

• Exchanges information with the shift attendant about the overall work status during the previous shift;

• Monitors and controls the discharges of water and exhaust sufficiently from boilers;

• Cleans the boilers and auxiliary equipment’s and the room regularly

• Reads steam pressure level, fuel, oil and water level gauges at specified time intervals and maintains records of same;

• Understands the specifications and working manuals of boiler and generator in order to be able to operate smoothly.

• Requests and issues fuel for the proper functioning of the generator..

• Records the time spent on the operation and makes necessary services.

• Regulates and operates the boiler against the predetermined temperature.

• Ensures that boilers are functioning properly

• Observes safety regulations;

• Performs other related tasks so required by his/her immediate supervisor.

Job Requirements

Required Education and Experience:

• Level four or advance diploma in General Mechanics or equivalent and Minimum 4 years’ Experience in mechanical maintenance and advanced expertise in production, system, process and technical knowledge

• Good hand-eye coordination

• Ability to do routine work

• Stable i.e. being able to do the same work for years on end.
