Job brief

We’re looking for a competent Sr. Human Resources Officer to support the HR team and coordinate Talent acquisition and development for both National and International staff.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in Planning, directing and coordination of human resource management activities.

  • Participate in the development and review of HR policies and procedures with the HR Manager.

  • Follow up the consistent application of HR policies and procedures.

  • In consultation with Heads of Primary and Secondary plan short term and long-term human resource development plan.

  • Participate in the review of JDs and ensure the provision of same to all staff.

  • Coordinate and ensure the proper implementations of policies and procedures in the recruitment of academic employees.

  • Ensure vacancies are advertised accordingly

  • Receive, register and review applications

  • Prepare personal summary of applicants and present to relevant work unit or selection committee

  • Communicate with candidates as per the instruction of the committee

  • Coordinate, participate and oversee the implementation of procedures in interview sessions

  • Prepare employment contract/letters

  • Send and receive employment documents to a from new academic employees

  • Carryout and coordinate orientation programs to new employees in cooperation with hiring work units.

  • Coordinate the periodic review of performance appraisal scheme and ensure the implementation.

  • Coordinate professional development program for staff in consultation with supervisors.

  • coordinate employee benefit programs such as accommodation, travel arrangements etc.

  • work in team to obtaining of work permits, residence permits and visa matters and other essential documentation for expatriate staff and locally recruited staff. (Including Renewal and Extension etc.)

  • Arrange the essential documentation for oversees contracted staff and their effects leaving at the end of contract.

  • Keep personnel records of staff and ensure all necessary documents are available.

  • Maintain personnel data in computerized database system and update periodically.

  • Prepare personnel correspondence:

  • Salary/allowance increment notifications

  • Deduction notification

  • Testimonials and recommendations etc.

  • Schedule and oversee employee leave (Maternity leave, sick leave, compassionate leave etc.)

  • Maintains a detailed record of the turnover, and researches and formulates strategies which effectively aid in employee retention.

  • Facilitate clearance for all resigning, terminating and leaving staff.

  • Ensure all staff members have identity card.

  • Assist the management team in personnel matters.

  • Carry out employee services and counseling.

  • Prepare annual and period work plan and reports.

  • Carryout and coordinate orientation programs to new employees in cooperation with hiring work units.

  • Coordinate the periodic review of performance appraisal scheme and ensure the implementation of same.

  • Assess training needs and plan and facilitate training programs and budget for support staff.

  • In consultation with relevant supervisors deal with disciplinary cases involving the support staff.

  •  Review and administer employee benefits programs such as insurance, etc.

  • Coordinate and facilitate the maintenance and clinic services of the School.

  • Ensure the proper administration of the security service of the School.

  • Coordinate, facilitate and oversee the cleaning service and gardening of the campus.

  • Administer and oversee employee uniform and clothing.

  • Keep personnel records of the support staff and ensure all necessary documents are available.

  • Maintain personnel data in computerized database system and update periodically.

  • Prepare annual and period work plan and reports.

Job Requirements

Qualification:

  • BA/MA Degree in HRM or Management/Business Administration or related  fields

Experience:

  • minimum of 5 years of experience in the areas of Talent Acquisition/Development at similar International Organizations after graduation.
