Position Overview:
As a Unit Leader for Cambridge Schools, you will be responsible for providing leadership, guidance, and support to a designated unit within the school. You will work closely with teachers, staff, students, and parents to ensure the effective delivery of the Cambridge curriculum and the smooth operation of the unit. Your role will involve overseeing instructional practices, managing resources, monitoring student progress, and maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Curriculum Implementation:
Collaborate with teachers to develop lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments that align with Cambridge standards.
Facilitate support and provide guidance to teachers in delivering high-quality instruction based on the Cambridge curriculum.
2. Unit Management:
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the unit, including scheduling, resource allocation, and student management.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment by promoting student engagement, discipline, and well-being.
Conduct regular meetings with teachers to discuss unit-related matters, provide feedback, and address concerns.
3. Teacher Development:
Support the professional development of unit teachers by identifying training needs, organizing workshops, and facilitating learning opportunities.
Provide constructive feedback and coaching to teachers to enhance their instructional practices and promote continuous improvement.
Promote a collaborative and reflective culture among teachers, encouraging the sharing of best practices and innovative teaching strategies.
4. Student Progress Monitoring:

Required Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
Teaching experience in a Cambridge curriculum-based school or familiarity with Cambridge International Education standards.
Strong knowledge of the Cambridge curriculum and assessment frameworks.
Leadership experience, such as a department head, team leader, or coordinator role.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to inspire and motivate teachers and students.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Analytical thinking and data-driven decision-making abilities.
Familiarity with educational technology and its integration into teaching and learning.
