Legal officers are responsible for ensuring that the legal affairs of their organization are handled appropriately and in accordance with local, state, and federal laws. They commonly provide counsel on a wide range of issues, including contract negotiations, corporate governance, compliance with regulations, etc.

Job Requirement

• Qualification  & Experience: The minimum experience and training required for this position are a minimum of 4 years of experience as a practicing legal officer in private company. Bachelor of Law Degree from a recognized university or legal Institution.

Duties & Responsibilities:

performing legal work, appear in court, provide legal advice and opinions, and draft legal documents on the more complex legal matters involving the Ministry/Department. The incumbent also assists in planning, organizing, and preparing the work program of the Unit/Division.  attends meetings to give professional legal advice. They prepare and/or review legal opinions, review legal/court documents for completeness and accuracy.
