Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Automotive Technician to join our team at Kerchanshe Trading PLC. As a Senior Automotive Technician, you will play a pivotal role in our automotive maintenance and repair operations, with a focus on European brand vehicles. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 6 to 8 years of relevant work experience, including at least 4 years of specialization in European brand maintenance. Your expertise in electronic diagnostics and calibration will be instrumental in delivering high-quality service to our valued customers. This role is based in Gelan and requires no supervision, as you will be expected to independently handle a wide range of automotive tasks.
Responsibilities:
Perform advanced diagnostics, maintenance, and repair on European brand vehicles, adhering to the highest industry standards.
Utilize state-of-the-art electronic diagnostic equipment and software to identify and resolve automotive issues efficiently.
Perform system calibrations and adjustments to ensure optimal vehicle performance and adherence to manufacturer specifications.
Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential problems and propose appropriate solutions to customers.
Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless workflow and timely completion of tasks.
Stay up-to-date with the latest automotive technologies, tools, and industry trends through continuous learning and training.
Maintain accurate records of repairs, services, and maintenance procedures performed on each vehicle.
Offer technical guidance and support to junior technicians when necessary.
Comply with all safety guidelines and regulations to create a safe working environment for yourself and others.
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer concerns professionally and respectfully.
Qualification
Diploma in Automotive Technology, Auto Mechanics, or a related field.
Experience
Minimum of 6 to 8 years of experience as an Automotive Technician, with a specialisation of at least 4 years in European brand vehicle maintenance.
Knowledge & Skills
Proficiency in electronic diagnostics and calibration, with a track record of resolving complex automotive issues effectively.
Flexibility to work occasional overtime and weekends as required
In-depth knowledge of European automotive systems, components, and their inter-working.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically in high-pressure situations.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering top-notch results.
Ability to work independently without supervision and take full responsibility for your work.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical individuals.
A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and automotive advancements.
