Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Technical Supervisor to lead and oversee our team of technicians at Kerchanshe Trading PLC.. As the Technical Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and managing the daily operations of our technical department. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in the automotive industry, with hands-on experience working with European vehicles. A Degree or Diploma in Automotive Technology or Auto Mechanics is essential for this role. Additionally, you should possess exceptional leadership skills and the ability to motivate and guide a team effectively. This position requires excellent problem-solving abilities and a commitment to maintaining a positive work environment. The role will be based at our [location] facility.
Responsibilities:
Supervise and lead a team of technicians, providing guidance, training, and support to maximize their performance and productivity.
Plan and organize the workflow within the technical department to ensure timely completion of tasks and projects.
Assign responsibilities to team members based on their skills and expertise, taking into account the complexity of tasks.
Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members to promote professional development.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies to create a safe working environment for all staff.
Collaborate with other departments to coordinate technical activities and resolve any interdepartmental issues.
Oversee the maintenance and repair of European vehicles, ensuring they are performed to the highest quality standards.
Monitor inventory levels of technical supplies and tools, and place orders as needed.
Address customer inquiries and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
Analyse technical problems related to European vehicles and recommend effective solutions, utilizing your expertise to guide the team when necessary.
Implement and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain consistency and efficiency in technical operations.
Stay updated with the latest advancements in the automotive industry, especially concerning European vehicles, and introduce innovative practices to enhance the technical department's performance.
Qualification
Degree or Diploma in Automotive Technology or Auto Mechanics is essential.
Experience
more than 10 years automotive maintenance experience out of which at least 4 years as a Technical Supervisor or similar supervisory role in the automotive industry.
Knowldege & Skills
Hands-on experience and expertise in working with European vehicles, including diagnostics and repairs.
Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team.
Problem-solving aptitude, with the ability to make quick and informed decisions under pressure.
Sound knowledge of safety regulations and protocols in the automotive industry.
High level of organizational and time-management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Ability to build strong working relationships with team members and other departments.
Flexibility to work occasional overtime and weekends when needed.
