• The Milling Assistance Operator is responsible to operate the milling plant to produce standard-quality flour products with the supervision of the main milling operator

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Receives daily work orders from the Main Operator/production manager.

• Checks the availability of raw material in the day bins. If there is no sufficient stock, report to the main operator/production manager or raise store requisition.

• Start cleaning the raw materials as per the quality data obtained from the quality department.

• Monitors properly the amount of water added and timing of wheat conditioning.

• Mill-conditioned wheat balancing the quality plant capacity and extraction efficiencies.

• Conducts hourly break releases and checks efficiencies.

• Transfers flour to pasta plant and record the quality on the daily log book.

• Monitors that brans and other by-products are packed within the same shift with accuracy.

• Reports machine failures to the main Operator and requests for maintenance.

• Takes over the position of the main operator when he/she is absent.

• Execute similar activities when ordered by his immediate boss

Job Requirements

COMPETENCIES: -

• Good operating skills and experience with similar machinery

• Good process & product knowledge

• Good reporting skill

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

• TVET graduate with level I and above in manufacturing general mechanic, electricity, industrial machine drive and related fields.

Experience:

• Minimum of 1+ -2 years of proven experience in similar production lines
