JOB SUMMARY

Under immediate supervision of Programs Manager, the Outreach Team Leader co-ordinates, supervises and leads the whole operation of outreach team ensuring efficient and quality service provision to clients in accordance with accepted standard medical practice and professional codes of conduct. He/she is responsible person to liaise with government office and other stakeholders the intervention area representing MSIE. 

Duties/Tasks

About You:

  • Provide overall leadership and direction to the medical team in ensuring the achievement of MSI Ethiopia’s mission and strategic objectives as well as targets of the Outreach Team

  • Supervise the performance appraisal of Outreach staff in accordance with MSIE personnel policies.

  • Advise and provide expertise to medical team members

  • Monitor and evaluate services provided by the outreach team and control the quality 

  • Motivate, coach, train and continuously set and reviewing performance targets for the medical team

  • Ensure all human resource issues for the team are handled according to MSIE procedures

  • Assess medical staff training needs and arrange training in consultation with the Human Resources Department and Line Manager.

  • Ensure the maintenance of efficient delivery of client care and the confidentiality of all cases, in accordance with accepted standard medical practices and professional code of conduct.

  • Perform nursing duties, as required.

  • Ensure client records are up-to-date, orderly, properly filed and readily retrievable for reference and inspection.

  • Liaise, as appropriate with government and non-governmental agencies to promote MSIE's interest.

  • Is responsible for the acquisition of drugs and other supplies, ensures their proper receipt, storage, safe keep, issuance and regular replenishment by pre-establishing re-order level.

Job Requirements

Required Qualification and Experience:

  • Diploma/Degree in Nursing or Degree in Public Health with a minimum of four to six years’ direct relevant experience.

Required Skills, Attitudes and Attributes

  • Collaborative approach to team working, strong personal commitment and good interpersonal/communication skills.

  • Pro-choice
