Local - Fixed Term Employee (Fixed Term)
Lead and engage in detail groundwater source assessment for water supply projects in partnership with hydrogeologists, respective government offices, and Project Offices of W4L+ project
Lead in detail groundwater source assessment for water supply projects in partnership with respective government offices, and district office
Carry out Geophysical survey to identify potential groundwater localities for water well drilling that to be used for water supply other purposes.
Prepare and organize standard feasibility study documents for the water supply projects in compliance with the Donor’s requirement
Review and evaluate feasibility study documents, verify drilling sites at field level prior to drilling implementation, conduct field monitoring, and onsite technical assistance
Ensure the selected sites and groundwater development is in compliance with community needs, donor’s requirements, WV and government policies and national standards
Develop necessary formats and database for completed water supply projects and report production
Prepare guidelines, conducting trainings and provide technical support to field staffs and respective government experts in groundwater source assessment and feasibility study document preparation
Take part in planning, follow up project implementation and provide progress reports as required
Satellite image and respective data analysis using Arc-GIS, Global mapper, Google earth, IPI2Win…, etc.)
Interpreting hydrogeological and geophysical results that are analyzed with soft wares to input in increasing wells productivity
Collecting water samples from existing sources during field survey before site selection to ensure water quality of the area
Organize field and secondary data in a way it may serve cost effective hydrogeological feasibility study thereby establish database
Analysis and interpretation of multiple data for better results
Ensure Sustainability of the project through devising wise use of natural resource and setting scenario that control resource over exploitation. Provide useful information policy makers
Work together with the diversified team for better performance in all aspect
Project specific stakeholders engagement, awareness, advocating activities at all level
KNOWLEDGE & QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE
B.Sc in Geology/Applied Geology/Earth Science
M.Sc in Hydrogeology/Geophysics
8 years for MSc and 10 years for BSc with relevant experience
Basic computer knowledge (Word, Excel, Outlook) and advanced knowledge of current up-to-date design software.
Advanced knowledge of application software such as Arc-GIS, Global mapper, IPI2Win, IX1DV3, etc.)
