Job Description:

• Manage the vehicle fleet management system (VFMS), called Fleet Wave; Ensure overall management of GPS devices installation and configuration, vehicle tracking and tracing, mapping waypoints and routes, geo-fencing ,generating various fleet repots and checking the correctness of Monthly GPS subscription fee submitted by the vendor.

• Diagnose, Supervise and participate in skilled and semi- skilled repairs of mechanical defects in vehicles, formulate preventative maintenance schedules and makes technical and operational recommendations; preparing ToR for the selection of capable outsourced vehicle repair workshop,  coordinate for implementation of maintenance work in the outsourced service provider`s workshop.

• Water4Life Project have 30+ equipment (i.e. eight rig machine, Ten Crain truck, twelve light vehicle pickups for drilling crew and seven light vehicles that we use for office purpose).

• All day to day activities of vehicles need to be managed including their fuel consumption, the maintenance schedule, spare parts procurement and oils for all machines and vehicles, incident reporting of if accident happens, insurance follow up, annual inspection, and all incoming request concerning vehicles.

• Vehicle dispatching and follow up where about it

• Supervising the body repair and painting with the insurer company at the selected garage in Addis Ababa and confirming the correctness of the repair works.

• Prepare specifications for light vehicles and motor bikes fleet acquisition; follow up of Pre Delivery Inspections; checking the correctness of vehicle or motor bike information against the documents from customs

• Ensure a courtesy and cohesive process of vehicles repairs, rapid  improvement of vehicles,  and quality assurance/control procedures are in place and functioning property;

• Check all repair work performed in workshop for correctness & completeness. This includes physical inspections and road tests before vehicles are turned back to user departments, settlement of the maintenance cost,

• Actively participate on technical skill demanding activities, such as preparation of technical specification of vehicles and motor bicycles, and incoming inspection of vehicles receiving through procurement or donation.

• Generate periodic report from GPS system that can be used for different violations and analysis.

• Organize trainings on GPS/VFTS and maintenance for drivers and fleet operation supervisors.

• Make assessments on WVE vehicle technical status and submitted recommendation for his immediate supervisor to get a disposal decision at SLT level.

• Make inspection on rental vehicles to confirm that they are safe and appropriate for organization operations

• Perform other related activities as forwarded by his immediate supervisor

Minimum education, training and experience requirements to qualify for the position:

• Must have B.A. Degree in Automotive Technology/ Mechanical Engineering/

• Must have minimum work experience of 6 years in fleet maintenance Management.

• Must have Information Technology use experience and skill: Email systems, cloud/web systems, EXCEL, Word, and Power Point use

License, registration, or certification required to perform this position:

• 3rd grade /public driving license

• Effective in written and verbal communication in English.
