Job Description

Leadership

  • Provide leadership to the finance, procurement, and tax team and related processes and ensure compliance with the company’s policies and procedures.

  • Update the finance department’s organizational structure and staffs job profile in accordance with the company strategy.

  • Manage relationships with investors and with external institutions (tax, audit, banking, etc.).

Policy and Manual

  • Monitor the implementation of finance policies, procedures, and the IFRS accounting manual.

  • Prepare new finance and tax policies and update the existing ones and ensure proper implementation.

  • Stay up to date on the latest changes in the finance industry.

  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Reporting

  • Review and analyze the annual IFRS and tax-based financial statements of the company and propose means of improving the financial position.

  • Review monthly reporting (including all backup sheets) and provide comments / explain major trends before submission to the shareholders.

  • Leading the implementation of the ERP / accounting system.

  • Prepare timely and detailed reports on financial performance on a quarterly and annual basis.

Risk Management and Audit

  • Develop and maintain internal control systems.

  • Analyze business operations to identify areas of improvement.

  • Liaising with internal and external auditors to resolve audit queries.

  • Retain constant awareness of the company’s financial position and act to prevent problems.

  • Conduct analysis to make forecasts and report to upper executives.

  • Ensure adherence to financial laws and guidelines.

  • Prepare risk/mitigation matrix.

  • Support senior stakeholders on all business reviews.

Budget

  • Develop and implement strategies to improve overall financial performance.

  • Oversee budgeting, accounting, financial planning, and analysis activities.

  • Supervise cash flow and review six months’ cash flow forecast.

  • Monitor the variance against actual expenses, including the whole PL comparison and analysis.

Other duties as assigned by the GM. 

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or master’s degree

  • 10+ years of progressive financial management experience in the FMCG industry.

  • Strong financial management, impeccable attention to detail, interpersonal, delegation, and supervisory skills.
