Job Description
The Warehouse & Facility Manager is responsible for looking after our warehouse & facility in our main office, assist the Warehouse team in the factory and take initiative and lead on establishing new warehouses in Addis Ababa and SW Ethiopia. The position holder will look after Addis Ababa warehouse operation, intercompany transfer of FG from plant and Primary and Secondary distribution of our products.
The position holder is responsible for all the facility needs of our main office, looking after the security, cleaning and canteen facility, ensuring all the utility & maintenance needs of the building. The position holder needs to ensure proper planning is done to maintain stock levels at the warehouse sufficient to primary and secondary distribution needs, adhere to the highest warehouse management standards in inventory management, GMP, stock level management and safety & health. The position holder needs to closely work with Planning, Distribution, Plant, Project, Commercial and HR teams to ensure the core business needs are fulfilled.
The Warehouse & Facility Manager is responsible to manage both Warehouse and Facility teams and manage budget, people and resources.
Inventory management
Making sure all the sales needed products are available in AA warehouse.
Checking inventory on daily basis
Checking for FIFO in AA WH
Having Cycle count & end of period counts in place.
AA warehouse management and its employees
Making sure the warehouse is clean, safe, and secured.
Making sure the WH is operating under standard procedures.
Maintaining world class WH operation
Making sure the daily operations are running smoothly and effectively:
Having formal weekly meeting with WH employees and DDS meeting is in place.
Managing, coaching, and motivating the team
Plan warehousing resources (staff, space, and equipment), to run the operations cost efficiently while meeting customer service requirements.
Translate short/medium term sales, inventory, and production plans into warehousing resource (Staff, space, equipment) requirements.
Facility
Developing WoW, processes for security staff and operation, access control, authorized entry, proper documented issuing/ delivery process.
Managing security personnel, ensuring the availability of enough
Working towards third party professional security agency hires
Managing the cleaning schedule, standards for the whole office & warehouse facility.
Developing standards, KPIs, follow up checks and internal customer feedback mechanisms on ensuring compliance.
Managing the canteen operation, timely, standard, quality service to our employees.
Ensuring the day to day functionality and any facility needs on existing building.
Following up on the operation of utilities, settlement of bills and improvement on availability.
Work closely with project team to improve, maintain, renovate the office space and whole compound.
Financial processes
Manage budget, work on efficiency and effectiveness.
Petty cash management
Inventory Reporting & movement approval

Overtime reporting
Inventory reporting daily from AA WH
Daily loading & offloading performance for the warehouse.
GMP standard and Gemba walkabout reports

Stock loss: Managing stock damage, obsolescence, loss to a minimum.
Accurate Inventory: Giving timely, accurate information to stakeholders on inventory.

Experience & skills required
Education:
BA degree in logistics/ Supply chain management (or equivalent)
Experience:
Minimum 5 years’ experience as Warehouse Manager, Logistics roles in FMCG sector, with 3 years managerial experiences.
