Job Description:
Strategic Activity
Serve as a strategic partner to the Leadership Team by integrating fleet/supply chain function in all WVE emergency response program.
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for planning, directing, managing, coordinating and supervising the programs for receiving, storing, issuing/dispatching procured goods and GIK.
The warehouse Manager leads End to End warehouse operations across the national office and ensures that set KPIs and objectives are consistently achieved.
He/she develops the warehouse management strategy together with the logistics manager and SCD ensures implementation.
Manages performance of relevant warehouse and distribution staff
Ensures great service is rendered with reasonable cost with the usage and utilization performance.
Technical
Ensure the fleet management policies, processes and guidelines effectiveness and applicability.
Warehouse and Distribution Management:
Perform the warehouse and distribution operations at HO,
Ensure HO warehouse and Inventory management to be up to standard to adhere existing Warehouse and distribution policy.
Ensure the day-to-day operations of warehouse documents for completeness of purchase documents prior to receiving using GRN, verify appropriateness of necessary documents before goods issuance from warehouse,
Use the necessary predesigned Pads; GRN, Warehouse Requisition form, Goods Issue Ticket (GIT) and other pads and formats, Stock card and bin cards and follow up for proper usage.
Review the inventory management activities in respective HO and field offices and provide necessary advice
Coordinate annual inventory taking process at HO under his/her custody and submit the inventory count report for HO Warehouse and Distribution unit.
Coordinate timely distribution of the procured items for end users or requesting units, ensure to have supporting documents that confirm receiving of the items by the end users/distributed body.
Submit regular report for his immediate supervisor or Logistics department if there are items kept in HO warehouse for extended period for proper action.
Ensure all appropriate safety and security devices are available, safety regulations are being followed both with regards to personal safety and safety of inventory.
Coordinate Segregation of list of inactive and obsolete stock items in HO offices periodically; submit the list for his immediate supervisor for appropriate decision making.
Involve in the process of warehouse and inventory management. systemization at respective field Office
Any Ad hoc tasks as directed by the line manager.
Management
Manage the performance of direct reports through performance reviews, frequent conversations and other method as appropriate. Be courageous in providing coaching or feedback for continuous performance improvement.
Ensure that all warehouse and distribution staff understand the Policy and Processes, and Systems in place.
Lead monthly appropriate review meeting to address performance and provide solution.
Take appropriate action to address internal and external audit results and recommendations as they relate to the Support Functions.
Monitor and supervise all aspects of warehouse and distribution management support to ensure compliance with policies, and standards of accountability, ethics and integrity and achievement of results.
Closely liaise with the supply chain, fleet, and security management teams to troubleshoot any issues that might cause interruption in the warehouse management function.
Required Professional Experience
BA/MA Degree in Supply Chain/Logistics Management, or Business Administration or Finance and/or any related relevant field; technical qualification is advantageous.
A minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in warehouse operations management out of which two (2) years of experience in people management/managerial.
Substantial knowledge of warehouse operations and country legislative framework at all levels.
Ability to form and maintain solid relationships with wide range of different stakeholders, partners, co-workers.
Evidence of high level written and spoken English language abilities.
Ability to speak local language.
Computer literate in Microsoft Office applications, Outlook or similar database, email and internet programs. Experience using computers for a variety of tasks.
