Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for supplier sourcing, maintaining good working relationships with suppliers, quality controls, ensuring the cost-effective procurement of materials, goods, and services.

  • Prepare plans for procuring equipment, goods and services following Boortmalt’s procurement policies and procedures

  • Research potential vendors, compare and evaluate offers from suppliers, and maintain good working relations with vendors

  • Prepare bid analysis, purchase orders, and submit them for approval and conduct procurements accordingly

  • Track orders, ensure delivery and review quality of purchased products

  • Proactively provide feedbacks for requesters

  • Conduct regular market research

  • Confirm the completeness of each bid document to ensure that all supporting documents are attached with the payment request

  • Research and execute public tender processes for large purchases

  • Manage all import and export process

  • Applying for an import permit, purchasing insurance, duty free and all other applications

  • Follow up on submission of shipping documents and others to transistor

  • Follow up on the status of the transistor on clearing goods in all stages (inspection, phase office, duty, assessment, finance, investment, check, warehouse charge)

  • Receive all imported goods from customs and facilitate logistics to deliver goods to user department

  • Clearing imports at National Bank of Ethiopia on time before getting on the delinquency list

  • Preparation of weekly and monthly reports

  • Other duties as required

Job Requirements

Qualifications

Experience:

  • 5 years overall experiences out of which three years is in import and Export

Language / IT:

  • Fluent in English and Amharic

  • Excellent Knowledge on Electronic Sing Window System
